Continuing this thread about #OPENAMERICANOW: Worse, this is just an American average. For hard hit places like New York, this is a substantial change to total levels of mortality - that's how you see things like mass graves.
You let that continue, and you're talking about a temporary shift to the mortality regime of your entire world. Covid is, one must acknowledge, not that bad an illness, compared to the great plagues of history. It is, however, bad enough to impact life expectancies.
And who's life expectancies would be impacted? Well, certainly not the white, mostly abled folks who are whining that they can't get back to their jobs - most of which probably sucked.

The folks I know who have to work right now *hate* working under these conditions.
