Some personal news: Everyone in Gannett newsrooms is taking either pay cut or three weeks of furlough. My first week begins at midnight today. While this is frustrating for a host of reasons, it is what it is. Our economy - our business - is in uncharted waters ...
... All of that said, I think you& #39;ll agree that my colleagues at @journalsentinel and across the USA TODAY NETWORK are being thoughtful and thorough in their coverage of this frightening pandemic. ...
Our journalists - nearly 200 of them statewide including the other 10 Gannett markets in Wisconsin - are all working from home. ...
... Our grand old, and often pretty messy, newsrooms sit empty.
Whatever you do, continue to stay informed about the ongoing crisis. Solid, factual, thorough reporting is the disinfectant that allows us to be informed - whether it& #39;s produced by my organization or others. Especially in these times, we need to collectively see things clearly.
Have a great Easter! See you in a week.
