Right, let’s explain something quickly because I’m seeing lots of videos of NHS staff dancing and lots of reactionary fucksticks using this to justify their lizard people claims that COVID19 isn’t real and the mortality figures are just made up...
If you haven’t ever had to spend time around death, injuries, or the other fantastically horrible shit people do to each other you won’t understand a fundamental thing:

If you don’t find five minutes to laugh about something ridiculous and lift each other through, you’ll perish.
When you’ve rolled and checked your fifth long-dead corpse in as many hours, and you take your turn on the legs because the last one burped in your face, you’ll either laugh when the corpse farts in mocking of your best laid plans, or you’ll emotionally wither a little more.
When you’ve run through the smoke of the fire and evacuated the vulnerable and spend the last rasping seconds with the person who has been burned away to bare organs, air rushing direct from their lungs, you’ll find peace with your peers or bits of you will die too.
When you’ve found chopped up limbs in bins, or the leg of a car crash victim dangling from a branch, or followed a trail of human debris - chasing away foxes until you establish the place where the bus-drag started - you’ll need lifting up or you’ll crumble.
To avoid PTSD, to avoid sinking into the depths of depression, and to avoid giving up because the silence is deafening and leaves you listening to rasps and beeps everywhere you walk, emergency services workers lift each other up.

Because if they break, everything breaks.
That’s a long overdue dose of reality.

And frankly some of you need to be haunted by it every second until you find your way back to fucking reality.

COVID19 is real and it’s killing people.
