Is Secularism a joke in India ?

The preamble of the constitution states that India is a secular state and this word was added in the constitution after 42nd amendment act in 1976.
When I started studying politics seriously , question came in my mind why it was felt to add the
secular word after 29 years of independence. Till now, i am waiting for the answer that can rationally satisfy me.
According to conventional definition secularism refers to segregation of religion from political, economic, social and cultural aspects of life.
It claims dissociation of the state from religion and full freedom to all religions and tolerance of all religions.
Many claim secularism as an ideology which provides people with the right to follow any religion or not not follow any.
It also stances for equal opportunities for
followers of all religions and no discrimination and partiality on grounds of religion.
If the above lines are credible,
why a particular community have been given subsidy on religious matters of travelling, structure, religious education and marriage?
Why there are religious schools for a particular community ? Why a part of the budget is fixed for a particular community ?
Why there is personal law boards for a particular community if religion is segregated from political affairs ?
Why there are special religious ceremonies
for a particular community and why only one community is given financial support if all are equal before constitution ?
This hypocrisy is no more endurable now.
A population of 35 crore is still in minority just for the sake of secularism.
It needs to be understood that any state cannot be truly secular with secularism just written in its books.
The complete ideology has to be recognized with grace and implemented equally to all the people. Meanwhile keeping a check on the governmental bodies for any
unfair practice of religious groups to gain power.
But most of the political parties are blind and ignorant when it comes to safeguard interests of majority.
No political party except few even dare to utter a single word against their wrongdoings.
This is secularism in India.
Now, the majority seems to be out of a long deep sleep and the results are visible since 2014.
Thanks to @narendramodi And @BJP4India for waking us up.
Now, we will show the real meaning of secularism in New India. Just wait and watch.
