What's a non-English word that has incorporated into regular English speech? No places or foods!
I am especially curious to learn about words from non-Western languages that have been incorporated.
The only examples that spring to mind have to do with Eastern religious concepts or practices, e.g. "zen," "yoga," etc.
Yes, yes, English itself is a medley of German, French, Latin, etc. You all know what I mean. Now back to the interesting answers!
The number of Indian words that folks have pointed out in this thread is really surprising: shampoo, veranda, thug, bungalow, pundit, pajamas...
