now that the group chat has gotten me all heated about the wicked movie, I would just like to say that despite the “”age factor”” Idina & Kristin are the most logical choices. they are fan favourites, they have the star factor, and they’ve both previously worked in film.

it would make the most sense to hire actors who have played the roles on broadway, bc they are already highly skilled in both acting & singing. but, they don’t have the “star factor” and tend not to have experience working in film. Idina and Kristin have BOTH

not only do they have both but they originated the damn roles. Joe Mantello said himself that no one since has matched their chemistry. no one could do it better than them and literally NO ONE would be mad if they were cast, unlike the fan wars that usually break out over casting

literally the only issue with them is “age” which is...ageist & misogynistic, both typical of hollywood! hello cgi? but I digress. I think we can all agree that any regular hollywood actresses would likely butcher the chemistry & not have the vocal grit.

in summary, Idina and Kristin should do the movie. they NEED to do the movie or else it’s going to be trash. I don’t accept criticisms on this opinion. thank you for coming to my ted talk
