The way Saiyami's defined features complement Harsh softer ones, even the fact that her eyes are open and his closed... I think about this picture a lot. She looks so strong and he so vulnerable- fits their characters in Mirzya, actually.

Mirzya was a perfect earthy, fiery fairytale.

And look at this poster! The juxtaposition between the ancient and modern-day selves is fascinating. Mirza and Sahiban look commanding, mature- intimidating even. Monish and Suchi? AAAAHHH MY YOUNG INNOCENT BABIES! (They're kinda not, but still...)

Getting a pair of newbies was a great move on Rakeysh Mehra's part, critics of their performances be darned. So raw, so passionate... such great chemistry.

My favourite song is probably Teen Gawah. I also like the accompanying sequence in the movie. The thrill and euphoria of being free, the purity, comfort and honour of being somebody's secret confidant- the only person they share that freedom with.

Speaking of unbridled joy, look at how happy everyone is in this photo. (Except the cinematographer, he just looks exhausted... heh). You can tell a lot of love went into this movie.

Summary: watch #Mirzya, folks! It's stunning.
