Pep Guardiola's present Manchester City side is a hybrid of his time at Barcelona and Bayern Munich - possession and passing and directness. At Barca, largely because of the type of players at his disposal, it was more expedient to emphasise more on possession and passing
It was slightly different at Bayern because of players like Muller and Lewandowski. He had to vary his style to accommodate them being more direct and physical. He didn't have that "luxury" at Barca. Then came the inverted fullbacks, recall Alaba and Lahm almost playing as CMs
He has adopted both styles at City and for obvious reasons. But the point of this thread is to show how adaptable Pep is, contrary to popular belief. There's been a varied approach to his style between Barca and now. In other words, he's evolved.

Has Mourinho evolved?
