Growing up is realising that Charlie Bucket was by far the worst choice to take over Willy Wonka's factory. Buckle in as this thread explains why all the other children were better candidates
Augustus Gloop was greedy (which is allegedly a flaw). Oh well. The boy is clearly passionate for chocolate; which is an ideal trait, seeing he'd be running a bloody chocolate factory. Cast off way too early and clearly would have been innovative
Veruca Salt. Oh no she's a bit bratty, a young child has never been bratty before. The fact of the matter is she's rich, and she could invest a shit ton into the factory, helping it boom into a beautiful multinational. Don't know what Charlie has to invest other than "being kind"
Violet Beauregarde. Our queen. She was portrayed as a villain and they tried to make her crown fall. She deserved to win and I'm still bitter. Her whole personality is being a winner. She would have committed all sorts of hostile takeovers and badass business transactions. Robbed
Mike Teavee. Clearly a young prodigy ahead of his time. Won his golden ticket by calculating where it would land. Such levels of genius could have led to the factory being taken to new heights. But nooooo, shame him cause he plays a bit too much Fortnite
Fucking hell. Dont even get me started. This face makes me like the ice age baby. He has absolutely no skill, talent, or passion. His whole personality is being boring af. Charlie Bucket is the true villain of the story. A true spawn of Satan
I hope this has enlightened your quarantine. Have a nice day
