Hey it’s Saturday in quarantine land and I thought I’d share with you a method I used to dispatch a troll. Hopefully you find this helpful if, like me, you are not one that likes to “block” or “mute”.
So this started when @ladyasterianox tagged me into a thread where these accounts weren’t arguing in good faith, they were just trying to be as inflammatory as possible. No rhyme or reason for it (I forgot to thank her for that btw) so the solution was simple. Ignore them.
But to properly ignore someone you need to carry on a conversation. I asked a random question and the troll responded, understandably confused by my irrelevant question.

The game was on.
She responded and we continued to have a delightful and normal conversation.

His first attempt was to check my bio and ridicule me for misspelling molyneux’s first name, so thanks for the tip I guess...
Then he tried to respond by appealing to the environmental side of things...
It’s not like he couldn’t see what we were doing immediately. He began talking to his troll friends about us, one of which blocked me before I even said anything to her.

But whatever he said about us he wanted to make sure we saw by posting his comment repeatedly in the thread.
Our conversation just continued. We had moved on to marvel shows on Netflix. There were accusations that we weren’t actually having a conversation but that we were sock accounts. Like real people don’t like to talk about Luke Cage...
He tried to derail the conversation numerous times with random articles about Antifa, AOC, and Bill Clinton. Mind you, the previous conversation wasn’t political. He just assumed we were Left because we weren’t trolls, I suppose.
Antifa seemed to be the focus of his anger. Again, Antifa had not been discussed in the thread at all. Just a thread this guy needed to pull on.
Then the pathetic threats came. We were notified that we had been “marked” for... ignoring him I guess. @ActuallyHeadFax randomly joined the thread to talk about marvel movies and was immediately “marked” as well.

We all now live in constant fear haha
Anyway, the thread eventually died down, and I went to bed but he definitely lost his shit for a time and it was nice to see. All it took was some nice conversation.

Again, a fun tactic to use on a troll if you want to give it a shot.
