I can’t vote, but I glanced through the mountain of flyers in my wife’s election packet that came in the mail last week. The number of parties astounds me. Here are some of my favorites and not so favorites. 1/

My favorite flyer was the Justice Party (정의당)’s proportional representative flyer. Just well designed. Loved the picture of old people arguing and blocking one another’s path. And the decision to put two young women at the top of the ticket is great. 2/

My least favorite design was from the Future Party (미래당) which doesn’t have a prayer of winning a seat but what’s with the Sky Castle advertisement picture? 3/

Tackiest flyer goes to the candidate from the Party for People’s Livelihoods (민생당 (also winner of worst English party name)). Seriously looks like something out of the 80s or 90s. 4/

Award for flyer that will haunt your dreams goes to the New Pro-Park Party (친박신당) with its the Ghosts of Dictators theme. 4/

Award for the flyer with the best hair goes to the something revolution something party (국가혁명배당금당 - not going to win so not bothering to translate). @realDonaldTrump eat your heart out 5/

Award for “your not supposed to write your whole speech on the PPT in a tiny font” goes to the candidate from the Our Republican Party (우리공화당) 6/

And finally award for “I’m running just to boost the sales of my books so I can collect royalties” goes to United Future Party (미래통합당) candidate Kim Dae Ho. END
