Trump isn’t the biggest problem in America or the world. Trump is a symptom of many bigger problems and if your political aspirations begin and end at removing Trump, you are a bigger problem than he is.

The focus on Trump is short-sighted and narrow-minded and destined to fail because much like taking ibuprofen may help the pain of a broken arm it does not actually solve the broken arm.

People who refuse to endorse Biden aren’t helping Trump. They are refusing to be part of an all-in strategy that expends enormous political and actual capital for the political equivalent of four ibuprofen when what we have is a broken arm.

People who focus solely on removing Trump are actually strengthening the conditions that give rise to Trump because they steadfastly refuse to assail those causal factors.
