It’s a shame the government doesn’t do the NQT survey any more. It probably would have been much harder to generalise across ITT provisions. I’m sure there are poor ones but in the last one 81% judged their provision 7-10. But, yes, there was plenty to improve as well.
In fact, since 2010 has been high 80s saying experience ‘good’ or ‘very good’. The distinction between topics is poignant. It could be a good way of constructively discussing the time available for a myriad of topics that people want to have covered.
For example from these results. Plenty to improve across routes, but must take into account resourcing, time and also inspection regime. Many do not seem to realise that not conforming to the imspection is high stakes.
I also think that in principle the ITT core content framework (+ECF) could mean some sort of ‘common denominator’. I also think, though,that they might be a bit ‘one-sided’ and not showingthe full range of ‘evidence’ available.
