Last night I got as high as a person can be and rewatched CATS. Thoughts:

- the Rebel Wilson scene is more horrifying than I remembered

- the Skimbleshanks number is legit great and I won’t hear otherwise

-Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson crawling down an alley in a fur? Iconic.

- Jennifer Hudson hitting That Note turned me gay, I think I was just pretending until now

- setting an entire musical number in a trash dumpster: fitting

- naked Idris Elba is unsettling, words I thought I’d never say

- Mistoffeles remains the cat I wanna bang

- wild how some of the CGI looks impeccable and some looks like MSPaint. What did they even fix in that day one patch?!

- why does Skimbleshanks want to go to the Heaviside Layer when he seems to be gay and fabulous and having an amazing time?

- Jason Derulo: ugh

FINAL THOUGHTS

- some people watch #Cats, feel absolutely baffled and horrified, and hate every minute of it. I am baffled and horrified and love every moment deep in my bones. Tom Hooper, an all-star cast, and burnt out VFX artists delivered a gift unto the world
