No to online classes, sure, okay ako diyan. We don't want any student being left behind just because they don't have access to the internet.

But mass promotion for the sake of not prolonging the sem jeopardizes the learning that is needed for a student to fully realize...(1/n) https://twitter.com/R4EDiliman/status/1248818696627183617
..their program.

Paano yung learning of essential skills na prerequisite for other courses within a curriculum? I don't think we can just abandon that under the premise of having a pandemic. (2/n)
Would a mass promotion followed by a bridging program really be beneficial, or would rushing the activities that were missed (but are essential to one's program) lead to a subpar learning?

That's something to be addressed rin before making these kinds of calls, I think. (3/n)
The best, I think, that we can do now is to freeze/restart the sem. Resume every operation when the pandemic is addressed while giving special consideration to graduating students (in case di magalaw ang deadlines for grad/med/law schools). (4/n)
I think the previous sem shouldn't be taken out of the student's free tuition as well, and that all paying students should be refunded of their money (or at least, a majority of it) given that these are extraordinary circumstances. (5/n)
Not saying that my view is THE answer, but all in all, I think this call deserves more deliberation since calling for something as big as mass promotion without expounding on its terms will only be detrimental for the students in the long run. (6/6)
