Governors don't have the resources to fund, organize the massive public health task that lies ahead on their own. This is writing a death sentence for thousands of Americans while @realDonaldTrump fiddles, I mean, golfs his way to November. 2/

Everyone should be screaming bloody murder at every @GOP official that goes along to get along with @POTUS, because they are co-signing the death warrants on their constituents. 3/

The scale of what needs to happen now is only possible w federal government leadership in concert w states & localities. Once again @realDonaldTrump @VP @senatemajldr @GOPLeader put their political fortunes before the people they serve. This will end up in thousands of deaths. 4/

When you need a Churchill or an FDR you get a Neville Chamberlain or Herbert Hoover. This isn't a war, but it requires a national mobilization we haven't seen since WW2. 5/

This is a political decision to let people die. Political reporters like @maggieNYT @peterbakernyt @jmartNYT should be finding out who is giving this advice to @POTUS, telling us why members of his party are unwilling to confront him on this abdication of responsibility. 6/

You want to protect your families from #coronavirus? Get out from under these stay at home orders? Then we all have to act. We have to rise up collectively to demand action. Call. Email. Text. Find ways to make them listen. 7/
