After 4 weeks we are finally happy to reveal Honest Herd on the app stores next week. We will be slowly rolling this out geographically. We want to take the opportunity to thank everyone that has been a part of this project.

So what is Honest Herd? 1/n

Honest Herd is a global community helping fight communicable diseases. (Think @waze)

At Honest Herd a herd member is completely anonymous. We do not ask for any personal details while a new member signs up. We simply ask our herd members to be honest. 2/n

Our herd members are polled on whether they are feeling well or not. For this we give them HH Coins. 3/n

The herd member can see how his/her community is doing and who is self isolated / isn't. 4/n

If a herd member isn’t feeling well we give them the option to complete a fully anonymous self assessment test. This test is powered by our partners http://Humandx.org . 5/n

The test inputs and a 14 day path trace (where you have been) is then available for our herd members to share with their own medical professional at their discretion. 6/n

Currently we are focussing on Covid 19 (need of the hour) but we are in the process of baking in assessments for other communicable diseases (eg. Flu, TB, Ebola, etc). 7/n

If a community has a detected outbreak, we geofence that area and we reward our herd members for staying indoors. For this we also give them HH Coins. 8/n

HH Coins can then be redeemed as vouchers and coupons through our incentive partners. 9/n

Designing this app was fun, because we wanted to make it as language agnostic as possible. 10/n
