Hello, I know that this is kinda private pero I just wanna express my disgust and frustrations towards my relatives and their shitty outlook towards this pandemic. Tweeting this because I had no chance to open a discussion in person. (n/n)

Kinda sad to hear that in their perspective, this whole pandemic was made to purge drug addicts, bad people and homosexuals.

One of them even told us that the reason why this is happening right now because "sobrang dami nang bakla sa panahon ngayon."

Their analogy of this issue to Sodom and Gomorrah didn't help at all. They were also confidently discussing about gays who are "hungry for attention" this ECQ; also pointed out na hindi nila nagegets why same sex marriages are valid and "dobleng kasalanan daw 'yon"

I am utterly disgusted how they view this pandemic as something as "god's will" or "god's plan" and that this whole ordeal "has a purpose." Moreover, non-sensical shit such as the world may end soon was also discussed.

And why I wasn't able to open/engage in a discussion, if one may ask? Their dismissive behavior is mainly the culprit. Big boomer energy, I know.

What I felt like was disrespectful was how they were insensitive in discussing these things. They know my sexuality, and no other family members aside from me are gay, so why discuss something so sensitive? 'Di ko sila nage-gets.

I'm so over patting my back telling myself that it's alright. I'm really ashamed that I grew up with people who are bigots, transphobes and people who are forever caged in their "traditional ways" bubble. Though, I'm proud that I came this far, I had to learn.

Sobrang nakakasawang maging relevant sa pamilyang sarado ang utak. They view educational discussions as something condescending or "nagmamarunong" thus the dismissive attitude.

Sometimes, this toxicity manifests in different ways. And mind you, I've experienced a variety of it.

Ewan ko. Nakaka-sad talaga how people only view homosexuality as comedy or comical relief. If you lean towards to a more "serious homo", you need to prove something in order to be reputable.

I'm ending this thread by emphasizing my disgust. These homophobic relatives are the same people who are actually DDS, and matapobre as well.

I've got nothing to lose now; it's only a matter of time before I leave this house, so I rest my case.
