This is Karnataka's #COVID19Pandemic spread as of yesterday. All green districts have 0 cases. Here is a story from one of the green districts, Chikmagalur district. Specifically from the small town of Kadur.

2/n A friend of mine is from Kadur and went home the day before the Janara Curfew. He lives and works in Bengaluru and mainly in the movie industry. So no exposure to travel or anyone who has just returned from Travel.

3/n However he had a little cough, when he went home. The authorities however quarantined him and he was in an isolation ward there (alone) for a few days when they checked his samples.

4/n When a couple of samples returned negative, he was sent home but was asked to quarantine himself at home. Police posted a notice on his house and also informed neighbours to watch out. He stayed home from then. And still continues to.

5/n Police & health workers come daily to check. The administration arranged for groceries and vegetables and essentials to be delivered to their home. In a few days, he got a call from @CTRavi_BJP, the KA minister and district-in-share for Chikmagaluru, checking on his health.

6/n The district administration also got him books to read from the local library after checking his reading preferences. They told him they want to ensure he remains in the best of health both physically and mentally. Yes, in words to that exact effect.

7/n He has since recovered from his cough completely, it was a routine cold & cough, but he has been asked to continue in quarantine. His quarantine was to end yday but the authorities have now extended it to the month end and the vigil continues!

8/n While seeking his and family’s cooperation, the district administration told them that they want to ensure district remains at zero! My friend is extremely appreciative of how careful and detailed the district administration has been.

9/9 So far the numbers in Karnataka are well under control and I hope that remains to be the case. For the work done so far, I think the Karnataka govt deserves credit, kudos and claps. @BSYBJP @CMofKarnataka

Seeing tweets that suggest there is lot of luck in KA's low numbers. maybe there is. But take nothing away from the work done by the Gov of KA. They deserve the luck! Heck, we sure need the luck in a pandemic. #COVID19Pandemic
