You put patients in isolation because it was a novel virus still under investigation. No language in that email constituted any sort of warning let alone specific warning about transmission route. Twisting it ex post facto works for tabloid TW news but not serious journalism

This whole thing is just sad, because TW has done a good job regarding the pandemic and there was no need to “pro forma adjust” their contribution. Clearly the effort is done by the administration for diplomatic/political reasons rather than actual public health benefits
