At Easter we would normally be taking ourselves off to sample some scones and Easter egg hunt at a @nationaltrust property.

Today, instead, we are exploring our #notthenationaltrust house and scoffing home made @nt_scones.
Not much is known about this Victorian Villa in the East of Belfast other than, built around 1860, it was originally owned by merchants who possibly supplied metal to the thriving ship building industry.

A project is underway to unearth its history.
It is rumoured that the property was one the first in Belfast to have both a vacuum system and gas lighting throughout the house.
Evidence of its metal merchant owners is seen in the many fire places that have been beautifully preserved.
But on to the real reason we are here - the scone.

This delicious rhubarb and ginger scone was supplied by renowned scone baker, @lisnagarveylass. The baker warned that they weren't her best but we reckon they were spot on. We give it a 5 star!

How could I forget! This #notthenationaltrust property comes with its very own tree cat. 10 out of 10 for tree climbing skills and adorable wee face. Will fuss again because he is my fur baby. @thecatreviewer
