Belfast has many streets that are mostly used by through traffic, so would become very quiet & safe spaces for people. Such as Ormeau Embankment, Clifton Park Avenue or Cameron Street.
Many smaller residential streets would work great as temporary & #39;quiet ways& #39; or & #39;home zones& #39;.

If it worked well for liveability of residents it could be made permanent in places.
With @deptinfra aims for modal shift away from cars & @belfastcc aiming to increase population density, measures like this are neccessary anyway.
