The idea that there are journalists blinding defending this government with (factually incorrect) lines like “they’ve been doing all they can” is insane.

Can you imagine being a doctor or nurse caring for Boris? The figurehead of a government that has spent a decade systematically dismantling the thing you hold dear, who has exacerbated this national crisis, lying there expecting your everything to save him.

Feel I should share this thread which unpacks the flaws in The Times article...and probably makes my last tweet look a tad extreme. But does vindicate my earlier point that the press have something to answer for.
