The format:

- the first round comprises eight groups of four, voting throughout today

- the top two from each group qualify for the knockout stages, two rounds apiece on Sunday and Monday

All qualifying artists had one top ten single and never reached the top 40 again. In a controversial move the Weather Girls, Orange Juice and PhD have been disallowed due to subsequent solo success.

The top two from each group qualify for the second round. Voting on the groups closes at 11am Sunday. Vote early, and vote often (even though you can only vote once)!
