I do wonder if those grumbling about vehicles on the road understand how many people are required to service the life we currently lead. All the food that has to be delivered, from meals to the isolated to takeaways.
All the medicines that volunteer groups are picking up from chemists and dropping off; the vulnerable patients being taken to and from medical appointments.
The hundreds of thousands of key workers going to and from their jobs, and the even greater numbers of essential workers, putting themselves on the front line so everyone can be fed.
All those delivery drivers, many often in their own cars, picking up parcels and dropping them off because people are bored at home and ordering stuff online.
So many individuals are needed to prop up those who are staying in.
