By now he knows where Keith lives even if he's never been inside the apartment itself. Occasionally he picked up Rosie from school when Keith was still busy (yes, in the meantime she turned 7 and her first day of primary school was so much EXCITEMENT she babbled about it all day)
and then brought her over after her dad came home from work. He almost felt like they were back to ground one where their horrible contact break never happened and he was part of this little something Keith had.
Most surprisingly he found that Keith was a great dad who loved his
daughter with all he had and how dedicated he was.
Kids deserved a childhood just like hers and Keith would do anything to make sure it didn't turn out like his own.

On his way home from work he stops by the Kogane's place and rings the bell.
Then the door opens first there is
a muffled whoof, then shuffling and then the door opens exposing a Keith with wildly braided hair, several butterfly hairclips and some kiddie clip on earrings.
It's so odd it makes Shiro snort internally.

"Shiro!", he exclaims. "What a nice surprise."

"Hi.", he brings out and
then almost gets overrun by a little 7 years old running towards him and giving him a tiny bear hug.
"Uncle shiroo!!!!!!", she happily exclaims and cuddles to his tigh. Gently, Shiro pets her hair that looks just as wild as Keiths.
"You forgot Bella Ballerina.", he shows her the
little stuffed hippo in a tutu and her mouth opens.
She had looked for her hippo doll all day and couldn't find it.

"Why don't you come in?", Keith offers him, opening the door and the first thing Shiro sees is a giant husky poking his head out.
"Kosmo, shoo!", Keith chases him
away and makes room for him to come in.
Inside it's a mess of kids toys, kiddie facepaint and tiny clothes spilled around a little suitcase.

"Would you like some coffee?", he offers him when he slumps down at the sofa, entertaining the kid by heloing her pick out the right
pair of socks to go with her dungarees.

Coffee sounds like heaven and he even gets some cookies (storebought he notes, but as if he'd mind).

Then the lock of the frontdoor turns.
"Keith darling, is Rosie ready?" A head of blonde appears and seconds later a tall blonde woman
is standing in the entry hall.

"Mama!!!", Rosie exclaims and Shiro's heart skips a beat.

All this time he thought Keith was a single parent. He didn't mention one bit that he had a wife!
