Sub-replacement fertility is any rate below approximately 2.1 children born per woman which leads to each new generation being less populous than the older, previous one in a given area. Which means the population will lead to a decline and cannot be reversed.

The "Kurds will overtake Turks by 2038" is not a meme, it's very real to the point where Erdogan even warned this of happening if the same rate is still occurring, and it's even worse then he claimed when he made this speech 10 years ago.
Highest Unemployment rate in Europe is Turkey, in Greece after the financial crises they have seen an increase on employment which makes Turkey the new leader board in highest unemployment rate which will cause an economic collapse, this is effecting Turkey's financial stability.
As Coronavirus spreads, we will see a mass rate of infections and Fatalities in the next coming weeks. Turkey hasn't peaked yet in the Coronavirus. Unironically majority effected are in Turkish Majority areas.
Another thing mentioning besides an economic collapse (which I really didn't cover enough in this thread), Coronavirus, Birth rates, political division (even within Turkish communities such as the 2016 coup that saw GĂĽlen movement shutdown with hundreds of thousands of arrests)..
including with the factor of the Syrian civil war where recently the offensive in Idlib has caused a push of reclaiming land under Bashar Al Assad. Majority of Turkish militrary is seeing a high death toll causing opinion backlash under Erdogan's government.
