Anyways, so my review for the Valhalla trilogy by Ari Bach, now that I've slept off some of the melancholy over it's ending, is as follows:
1) It is, in my opinion, a damn good series. Ari Bach does a good job with it, and if you can safely read it (I'll list some trigger warnings at the bottom of this thread) I do recommend it.
2) It is, however, very dark. The first book is undoubtedly the lightest of the series and once it starts getting dark in the second book, it doesn't stop.
The series carries major trigger warnings for general violence and gore, but also sexual assault, especially the second and third books. Body horror is also abound in book three. And just another warning - it does not have a happy ending. The best you'll get is bittersweet.
