I don't belong to Mensa (I don't need them or their membership), but as repeatedly argued, Mensa's minimum is ostensibly half an SD above Harvard's mean.

(You didn't go to Harvard, bud.)

(Thankfully, I didn't, either.)
(Mensa is mocked by pretty much everyone, because pretty much everyone, when push comes to shove, doubts that s/he can qualify. [S/he is right; s/he can't qualify.])

(Nick surely can, so it's beneath him to mock them given that he hasn't yet done so [one presumes].)
(I'm not impressed by IQ 130 [though their mean is ostensibly around 140], but this is because I'm demonstrably an SD above this. Nick has never taken a legitimate IQ test, doesn't know what his IQ is, and assumes, perhaps unwisely, that he, too, is an SD above their minimum.)
Are these standards "high," in my opinion? No, but they're all at the 98th percentile vs IQ 100 (which by no means reflects modern America, nor does it reflect Nordics [90th percentile, give or take].)

(Remember, most Harvard undergrads can't score two-sigma [130].)
(Signed, Three-sigma-plus)

(Make sure you know what your IQ is before advertising your "genius.")
