71 reported deaths in Pakistan due to covid19. In NY though, >100 Pakistanis among 8000 who have died.
Am I the only one who thinks the math doesn’t add up?

71 out of 220 million people in Pakistan whereas 100 (Pakistanis) out of 8000 in 8 million in NY. Accounting for the poor healthcare and the close knit communities here, I would think the cases are grossly underreported.
It’s not just a matter of numbers & transparency alone. If anyone has unfortunately died due to covid19, their body has been carefully disposed of.

If underreported deaths are being brushed under the rug, how successful will we be in dealing with the 1st wave & preventing a 2nd?
The virus lingers - in air, on surface and in poorly disposed of corpses. This is why we need the exact numbers to know who is infected and who is not.
