I am reading about stalking because I have been stalked for years now by multiple people. I know people know things about me but don't know how and it is frightening

Someone maliciously contacted my husband. Some have tried to influence/manipulate people close to me to get info

This has a name apparently (social engineering)

One stalker was doing it for sexual reasons, one person was trying to get me to quit a team I was in cos saw me as a threat, same person tried to get me to do some work that would have been bad for me but I trusted their opinion

One was trying to help but crossed many boundaries and then used their manipulation techniques to try and get me to pay a bill when I was deliberately holding the money back until they returned some property of mine.

Some of the techniques used involve offering me fake work

On an exact day and time to find out if I'm free (e.g. if they want to know if I'll be at a specific conference). People who have hired me get contacted and the work they offer is held back unless I jump through certain hoops.

Other people are used in a way that is supposed to

motivate me by making me jealous (they would say inspired)

Those people won't know they are being used in this way

Stuff gets retweeted into my timeline (or they use likes or replies) to influence me. The creepy part is people seem to know when I'm on twitter even when I've not

tweeted or done a like. Someone had my password once but I have changed it many times since. If anyone has ideas how this is done if like to know.

I am giving up all my autism work (I will finish anything I am contracted or have promised to do)

I will never mention any names

But this is me burning my bridges because I have tried to leave autism work before and the stalkers stopped and my work started up again (it was all stopped because I didn't do what I was supposed to do) so I thought they were going to leave me alone.

But no it all started again after I'd stopped being upset.

I don't want to upset any one involved but I really need people to just leave me alone. I'm hoping this thread will get the message across
