Thinking... https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🤔" title="Thinking face" aria-label="Emoji: Thinking face">... the reporting process of the coronavirus test results could be streamlined by giving individuals tested a heads-up that lab results are made available online, in a secure and compliant web portal. That tweeted... some unknowns https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🤷🏻‍♀️" title="Woman shrugging (light skin tone)" aria-label="Emoji: Woman shrugging (light skin tone)">: 1. would the processing lab need to be within the state for this to work? perhaps due to differing health laws (for handling data) by state https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🤷🏻‍♀️" title="Woman shrugging (light skin tone)" aria-label="Emoji: Woman shrugging (light skin tone)">? 2. do all local (state & commercial) have online portals for patients to view results? (2/5)
3. when the test site staff collects the sample, do they know where each sample is getting sent for analysis? if they do at the time of collection, what would they need to provide the tested person info. on where they can get results and next steps? (3/5)
Wonder how many results are available from the lab and waiting to be delivered by either the test site, their PCP (if that’s the referring doctor), or DOH? (4/5)
Final thought in this thread... a negative test result (accessed online) would still require consultation/instructions from a doctor, and healthy practices to prevent and slow community transmission would still hold. (5/5)
