When I saw those reports come first out of China, then Italy and then Spain, I comforted myself with the thought that we wouldn’t see those numbers here. But look at the death toll now, and it’s getting worse. What on earth has happened??

Have we been lulled into a false sense of security under the guise of national unity? It’s deeply disturbing. I understand why there is frustration the media perhaps hasn’t done as much as it could have to hold the government to account.
