Good morning, I hope you are all OK! In this thread I will share some #CoronaUpdates to get latest info about #COVID19. (Disclaimer: I'm no epidemiologist, just a physicist who analyses data a lot, that's why I'm showing data in a way here I'd like to see it but cannot find it).
All data is from around midnight, data source given in the plots. First the EU. Upper plot shows infected cases, bottom shows deaths. In both plots, daily cases (the bars) refer to the right vertical axis. Daily new infections roughly constant, daily deaths oscillating.
Germany's daily new infections are decreasing again, after reaching a local maximum 3 days ago, daily deaths are strong decreasing, too.
Italy has very high numbers but the overall trend looks good: a small decrease of daily new infections and daily deaths since more than 2 weeks.
Austria successfully managed to push the daily new infections down to a low level.
Czech Republic and Slovenia both seems to look ok, as their daily new infections are decreasing on average.
France's number of daily new infections is constant since 5 days, number of daily deaths is strongly oscillating.
Netherlands' daily new infections are unfortunately rising again, let's hope this trend does not continue.
Spain's number of daily new infections and daily deaths are slowly decreasing on average since 2 weeks, that's very promising.
UK has sadly reached a new record in daily new infections and daily deaths, let's hope this does not continue.
The US has unfortunately also reached new record numbers, let's hope they manage to push this numbers down over the following days.
South Korea shows us how to push the numbers down to really low levels - massive testing was their recipe.
Let me know if I missed some country, #StaySafeStayHome, Happy #EasterAtHome, and a daisy I shot yesterday and wanted to share with you to finish with something beautiful.
