if you voted for elizabeth warren because of her plans to reduce student debt and expand healthcare, how do you justify voting for biden, who will do neither of those things?

if you supported kamala harris, who called out biden for being a segregationist, how do you justify voting for a segregationist?

if you supported cory booker, who wanted to build up communities of colour, or julian castro, who was dedicated to disability rights, how do you justify voting for biden, who authored the crime bill and is against improving healthcare services for disabled people?

if you believed monica lewinsky, anita hill, christine blasey ford, leeann tweeden, how do you justify not believing tara reade?

these are just questions. I'm not american. I don't have a vote. but I have american family and friends, and I want them to have access to reproductive and other healthcare and affordable education. I want them not to live in fear of a police state.

how do you justify asking people to vote against all of that?

I don't know if there is a correct answer to "who should get my vote for president?" other than "not trump" - I think the best anyone can do right now is make sure they vote in down-ballot races for progressive candidates. flip the senate. strengthen the majority in the house.

vote for mayors who will uphold sanctuary city policies and refuse to co-operate with ICE. vote for democratic governors who will expand state medicare programmes. vote for progressive city judges who won't hold non-violent offenders on bail they can't afford.

vote for school board members who will increase funding for schools that need it. make your vote count in every race you can. I'm just not sure that in a presidential race between two elderly white racist sex offenders, your vote for president is one of them.
