Instead of "persons under monitoring" and "patients under investigation," individuals will soon be called "suspects," "probable," or "confirmed" cases.

"Suspect cases" include those with COVID-19 symptoms and/or travel history, underlying conditions, of old age, or is a health worker who have not been tested yet.
"Probable cases" are those with symptoms and have been tested but still awaiting results.

According to the Department of Health, the move to amend the classifications for persons under watch for COVID-19 is to have "uniformed reporting" on #COVID19PH.
