I’m gonna start saying nice things about these nice songs. This one’s a fairly obscure Brazilian boogie b-side with oodles of style and vibe. I wish it lasted like 10 hours long https://open.spotify.com/track/4XseRx6NsfXduDWCbwiE1v?si=cfCk4ehMQv-AEI7QkMXydQ
Not sure of who Vivane is, but this track falls kind of in the same vein. She has credits on other Lincoln Olivetti productions, so it’s likely he also produced this one. For the uninitiated, a Lincoln Olivetti credit is a certified mark of quality.
Meic Stevens released many albums, most of them in his native Welsh tongue. His first LP was written in English, though. The whole thing is brilliant but the first track is my favorite. https://open.spotify.com/track/6baqssT83cNB8NgRRFb8wW?si=fYrSdbrvQE2vr5XQpvfh0Q
Don’t really have a lot to say about this one but it’s nice for hanging out on the porch or in a hammock or something. Proto-AOR or something if you want to put a name to it. https://open.spotify.com/track/5Vm03e5KW89JGoTlIGc24F?si=PGM4q3hFRvaA5rUHWNywfg
https://open.spotify.com/track/1QmXPxUSGRS2SF8xClenVV?si=kJsT8clfRuero-ipndztNA there’s a cute little AOR-disco scene in Montreal between like 1976-1981, and Diane Tell was undisputedly its queen. This track in particular slaps so so much. If you check out only one track in this thread PLEASE make it this one.
