In normal times, most startups and many investors love to highlight how “boring and clueless” India’s large IT companies are. Over the past few weeks @Infosys @TCS @Wipro @Cognizant and others have moved more than 3 million employees to #WFH , and are keeping global systems alive
These companies also have huge cash piles and order books that will dwarf any “ARRs”. Indian IT industry revenues are close to $200 billion, serving the world’s biggest companies— GE, Walmart, Microsoft and so on. These companies have lived through valleys of deaths over decades
It’s time we salute them for their #resilience , keeping the payrolls alive for millions of staff and being Good Samaritan every time there’s a crisis — from #Chennaifloods to the ongoing pandemic
