Fun fact that I just learned on a Friday night: There is a type of owl called a "morepork" and it is so named because of its call: "more-pork." It hails from New Zealand and Tasmania, where, it occurs to me, people really know how to name animals. Wombat. Platypus. Devil.

Another fun fact about owls, or birds in general: "Jizz" is a term used to describe "the overall impression of a bird's physical characteristics that can help pinpoint a proper identification." As in: "thick-set jizz and ear tufts." Who knew? Not me!
