Let's start in the year 1856, when Hyuka's great(x3) grandfather Johann Wilhelm Huening immigrated from Germany to the United States.

There's some misinformation out there that Johann was a duke. He's not.

Hueningkai's Euorpean ancestry also includes English, Polish, and Scottish according to his uncle, Vincent Huening.

Hueningkai's father Nabil Huening was born in Brazil but moved to the US at age 4. At 17, he left to pursue an acting & singing career in China.

Nabil can speak English, Portuguese, Mandarin, and Korean. He married a Korean woman in 1996, and his parents still live in Brazil.

Nabil and his wife had three children: Lea, Kai, and Bahiyyih.

Supposedly, Nabil divorced his wife and remarried Anne Caroline in 2016, but this is not confirmed.

Kai Kamal Huening was born in Honolulu, Hawaii (USA) on August 14th, 2002.

He's confirmed his birthplace at a fansign. He only stayed in Hawaii for a month before he left for China, where he lived for 12 years before he moved to Korea to become an idol.

Here's a fun little fact! Nabil Huening said that his son's name means "Perfect Victory" in Chinese and Arabic. How fitting~

When he moved to Korea, Hyuka auditioned for Kpopstar (an idol survival show) where he was scouted in the audience by Big Hit Entertainment. After years of being a trainee, he was placed on the debut team for TXT.

At TXT's showcase in Chicago (2019), hyuka's uncle and grandfather came to show their support. Hyuka's dad, sisters, and other family members regularly hype up txt through social media. We love a supportive family
