Good Friday always makes me sad. It also is the central reason I'm religious.

Whether or not you believe in Jesus as deity, this man was betrayed by his friends, beaten to a pulp, & left for dead over a known criminal. Yet in his final breath he asked for their forgiveness.

I can only imagine what I would be thinking under similar circumstances. His forgiveness and love somehow transcended all of that hate, something I am perfectly sure I wouldn't be able to do. But I try to be more like Him every day and we could all benefit from that example.

So, have a solemn Good Friday, everyone; and hug your loved ones during this time together. Much love.
