Some of you don’t believe the Corona virus is dangerous, or don’t believe we need to heed the advice of medical and scientific experts, and our governors who are leading by locking us down.
The Covid-19 pandemic has brought back a lot of troubling memories for me. In 2005, my dad had an elective surgery that went horribly wrong.
Within 24 hours, he had to be intubated – this is what is happening with severely ill Covid patients. We were all called, and my siblings and I surrounded him after the intubation as he was given last rites.
He was a tough guy and did not succumb until many months later, but I will tell you the intubation was ghastly. He was intubated for three weeks at which point the medical staff started to worry about complications.
