the women in my house have revolted.

i was complaining how i was made to wash dishes that my brother mostly made. my dad made some nonsensical comments on how dishes were a “lady thing”. my feminist ass was like um HOW are dishes a lady thing?

i pointed out how the women/girls in the house do a disproportionate amount of housework & all the males do things like throw out the garbage and vacuum once in a while. 4–2 (women to men)

my dad said he tried to balance it and i said that it is NOT balanced because my brother makes/eats/takes a lot and barely cleans to the level us girls are made to.

obviously he couldn’t argue against this, i asked him when the last time he he washed dishes?

i cannot remember the last time my dad washed dishes...it’s been 20+ years of me breathing on God’s green and dying earth and i ain’t ever seen my father wash dishes?

so obviously, i complained this is unfair and we’re in 2020 and we shouldn’t uphold ridiculous gender roles of housework because my brother will then think he’s above certain work to do & thinks his sisters/women have to do them. essentially spoiling his ass. yuck.

then my dad tried to input how much he works, my queen mother said she does way more bc she cooks, cleans and works and takes care off the kids.

we love to see the uprising against the patriarchy. she agreed with me and said it’s nonsense that it is this way (FINALLY).

sadly, i was made to wash my brothers nasty ass dishes while he just vacuumed as an equivalent.

good news though: we’re making my dad wash dishes tomorrow for us all
