I have been trying to decide how I wanted to speak out on something... Something that should never be joked about, not on Good Friday, not with everything going on in the world right now, not ever.

No matter what your religion/beliefs are or aren’t.
I had a lot of respect for the artist who tweeted this earlier today. I’ve been a fan for a lot of years, I’ve been to her shows, met her and supported her. But I feel like this is something that needs to be addressed and not just deleted like it was, once it was called out.
I wouldn’t feel right if I didn’t speak up.

“whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.” -Matthew 10:33
Unfortunately, I didn’t get a screenshot of the tweet that followed this that said “don’t let this flop” before it was deleted as well. And that was honestly even more heartless to me than the tasteless, soulless, and uncalled for “joke” of a tweet.
I’m not the only person this offended. And I don’t believe it should just be deleted without any apology or consequences.

Death in general isn’t something to joke about, but you especially don’t joke about religion.
Also— just to clarify: Jesus Christ was crucified on The Cross for my sins & anyone else who believes in him. And rose from the dead on Sunday morning, which is the “holiday” we call Easter Sunday. ✝️

I don’t speak much on religion on social media but Matthew 10:33 isn’t “fake”
