Thought of relevant point for my presentation. For educators and others who work around youth: I& #39;d imagine you are all certified mandated reporters. If a child comes out to you and you believe that their parents could react hostilely if they found out...

...as a mandated reporter, I believe that this could fall into the criteria of doing what must be done to keep the child safe, thus keeping this information from their parents. Good point?

I could add an additional point mentioning how there are efforts out there however trying to convince schools to force teachers to reveal to parents if their child comes out to a teacher as trans, gay, bi, etc...
