Testing is integral to our action plan to combat the spread of #COVID19AB. As the @CMOH_Alberta mentioned today, more than 6,000 people had been referred for testing in the previous 24 hours. We expect the number of tests processed at the lab to rise in the coming days.
Testing has been expanded to those exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 including cough, fever, runny nose, sore throat or shortness of breath:
➖in the Calgary Zone,
➖living with someone aged 65+ years or older,
➖essential workers whose workplaces remain accessible to the public.
Aggressive testing measures continue. We're looking at data to determine where to strategically increase capacity. In the next few days, we're working towards 5,000 tests per day. People can access tests by completing the #COVID19AB self-assessment 👇
