I feel like this thread misses the point that if you're in your early 20s, you don't know what things you want to do or what you find most personally worthwhile

it's not useless, it's not a waste of time

it sets you up to find things you want to dedicate your time to later

just because you didn't produce anything obviously useful doesn't mean your time was ill-spent

capitalism is a farce, etc.
