Single people without kids: your thoughts and feelings throughout this pandemic are valid. You can have empathy for people with kids without putting up with ‘well, you obviously don’t have kids’ when you share your experiences. Your choices are not shameful.
I’ve never heard a child free person say to someone ‘well you obviously have kids’ as though it’s something to be ashamed of. The reverse - ‘well you obviously don’t have kids’ is not ok. What if someone wanted kids but couldn’t have them? Don’t say this.
