Tl;dr for a lot of y'all the "discourse" is a performance you do, not an actual thought-intensive dialogue where you try to communicate & learn & grow. It's just you bullshitting.

Discourse isn't being a bully with your friends. Discourse isn't faking a tough attitude online, saying something ignorant & cry-blocking anyone who does anything other than enthusiastically scream for you. Discourse is exhausting & hard work.
