I work in an ICU in the UK. I KNOW the seriousness of the situation however the media’s negativity and focus just on the UK is exhausting!

I love my job but at the moment it is very mentally draining. The media are worsening this!

We are one of the most densely populated countries in Europe, we knew our figures would be high! We aren’t even in the top 3 of death per million yet in Europe (I know this may change)

Can we just keep a little bit of hope and positivity in this difficult times

I check the daily death tolls on Twitter/Google in the hope it will be better so I can see my family again soon

All I see are ongoing inaccurate facts and guesstimates.

The NHS is stretched but we are pulling together! Do your bit, please follow government advice and stay inside unless for ESSENTIALS.

Can I just add that I work for an amazing NHS trust who are extremely supportive during this time!

On ICU in my experience, we have a very high standard of PPE and this is their priority!
